The so called Human Rights Activist, Sultana Kamals venomous attack on Islamic politics. Is this contempt of divine rights given by Allah to establish his law on the land?

Allah never compels anyone to follow his way, but has given guidance to humanity to follow whosoever wishes. It is explicitly mentioned in the Quran that there is no compulsion in religion, rights stands distinguish from wrong. But we as Muslims have been ordered to convey the message to humanity and enjoy in what is good and forbid what is evil. Jamat Shibir never forces anyone to follow their ideology, but has every right to preach Islamic ideology and with the support of the people has every right to govern Bangladesh if majority of the people vote them to power.

Sultana Kamal grossly lied about our aspirations for an independent Bangladesh. She probably had forgotten that secularism was not one of the four main principles in Mujib Nagor Sarkar. People of Bangladesh fought for independence, and not for secularism or one party rule. If Jamat and their leaders followed a different political view, it was because they believed in Pakistan unity; these leaders had never ordered anyone to be killed, if they did, then it should have been proven in an internationally recognized impartial court, but this has not been done, rather all the evidence regarding the neutrality of ICT points to the opposite of fair justice. But to demand banning of Islamic politics is contemptuous, and an insult to Muslim population of Bangladesh.

Sultana Kamal was one of those who were selected to lead caretaker government of Fokhruddin before the army led government came to power; apparently those advisors supposed to have been neutral having no political affiliations. People had always doubted her neutrality and many thought that she was an extreme Balist, leftist, anti Islamic, biased human rights campaigner. Her views were inimical to any human rights principle. In her interview with Daily Prothom Alo, She cite courts verdict on Jamat war time role, but never sees all the injustices, and gross violations the courts had done to Jamat leaders in the name of Law.

Sultana Kamal never said a word when the Awami Government killed hundreds of innocent Shibir men on 28th February and the slaughtering of Hifazot Men on the night of 5th of May. Many of the gross human rights violation by this government were not criticised or challenged by this woman, rather she tacitly supported government killings of Shibir men after the verdict of Maulana Delwar Hussain Sayeedi. The courts verdict of Jamat leader Sayeedi was greatly influenced by Shabag Chottor and the Prime Ministers implicit support for death sentence in the Bangladeshi parliament. But she never expressed her concern for such statement by the Prime Minister

Sultana Kamal views do not fit with human rights campaigners’ role. Instead her views are selective to please a certain party that she supports. It would have been better if she had left that position and openly participated in political activities to further her personal views instead of shielding her self behind a human rights organization thereby damaging its credibility.
